Where is Alegria-en-Armagnac?

Alegria is: 12 minutes drive from Cazaubon/Barbotan les Thermes, the nearest large town and thermal spa. 75 minutes drive from Pau Pyrenees International Aiport, with direct flights from London Standsted, Bristol (with Ryanair) and other UK airports via Paris (Air France). 15 minutes drive from Eauze train station with rail links to Paris via Dax by TER. (SNCF in French). Approx 45 minutes drive from Dax TGV station with TGV links to Paris (approx 4 hours). Tickets can be bought online from the SNCF or Rail Europe. 1 hour 50 min drive from Biarritz International Airport with direct flights to London Standsted, Birmingham and Dublin (Ryanair) and connections to Paris (Air France) about 2 hours drive from Toulouse International Airport with connecting flights to most UK cities with British Airways and Air France about 2 hours from Bordeaux International Airport with connecting flights to most UK cities with British Airways, Easy Jet, bmi baby, Air France. 3,5 hours drive from Bilbao ferry terminal in northern Spain, from Portsmouth (P&O Ferries). 4 hours drive from Santander ferry terminal in northern Spain, from Plymouth (Brittanny Ferries).

How do I get there?

Travelling to Alegria is affordable and simple. Most of our visitors fly to Bordeaux or Pau airport with one of the budget airlines and rent a car on arrival. We recommend using Ryanair (flights from 1p!) from Stansted and Bristol to Pau-Pyrenees airport (about 75 minutes drive- 74 km). Until the new motorway, L'Alienor is finished in March 2011, Pau is our closest airport. This flight comes in every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Pau Pyrénées Airport is located 10km North of Pau on the northern edge of the Pyrenees. Taxis are available, the fare to Pau (where there is a train station) is approximately 20 Euros. Facilities include a restaurant, an ATM, 2 shops, a VIP lounge, meeting rooms and WiFi Internet access.
