What happens once you have paid your deposit?
Regretfully, we can not accept credit cards or debit cards on location yet, but you can pay both the booking deposit (due within 7 days of making a reservation) as well as the final payment due 3 weeks before your arrival by using the International On Line Secure Money Transfer System called PayPal. To simplify online payment we use a standard booking fee of 300€ for all reservations.
To pay your deposit now using your credit or debit card, click on the "Add to Cart" button below. You will immediately be taken to the PayPal website for a secure online transaction. Immediately after your payment has been accepted you will receive an e-mail confirming the transaction from Paypal.

If you prefer not to pay online, you can pay the £300 deposit per sterling or euro cheque - made out to Margaretha de Klerk - as long as it reaches us within 7 days of making a booking. Or you can make a bank tranfer - e-mail me for further details.
PayPal is a very safe method of paying for goods via the Internet using your credit or debit card. I have used it online for a large variety and number of payments over the last two years. Contested payments were refunded immediately.
How to set up a Paypal account
When you use it for the first time, you will be asked for your details and then your PayPal account will be set up. The whole process is fast and efficient. You will get an e-mail asking you to confirm that you have applied for an account before your account is activated. Initially. there will be a spending limit on your account. There is an initial $2000 limit on your first transaction until your account is validated. Validating your account is very simple.
You may find that you do not have a high enough limit to pay the deposit! If so, do not despair. Set up your account anyway and contact your credit card company (either online or by phone) 48 hours later. Ask for the 4 digit number, which is displayed under the description for the PayPal membership payment. Go online and enter it on the PayPal page. This number will also appear on your next credit card statement. Your credit limit will be raised according to your own personal circumstances. If your limit is still too low, there is another page on your PayPal account that enables you to request a higher credit limit.

Currency
The PayPal transaction will be in Pounds or in Euros. You will pay only the price shown in Pounds/Euros, with no additional charges (other than a $1.95 PayPal membership fee if you do not have a PayPal account yet). If your Credit Card is not in Euros then the payment will be converted to your home currency by your Credit Card company using their own exchange rate.
Cancellations
Should you need to cancel, your Deposit shall be refunded as long as the written cancellation, sent by recorded mail arrived 3 weeks or more before the start of your retreat, and will be paid directly and immediately to your PayPal account. You can then either transfer the money from your PayPal account back to your Bank Account or leave in your PayPal account to make purchases online or rebook with us!

It really is a very safe way of paying online by Credit Card. On the Paypal website you will find more information about the company and their guarantees. They have in excess of 20 million account holders and are growing by 28,000 accounts per day. They are very good at e-mailing you throughout the process so that you feel in control.
